We’re so excited to be serving up some Blogcademy realness in London this January! If you’re not local and need a place to stay, we’ve done the research! We wouldn’t leave you high and dry, baby!
London can be an expensive city, but for the most cost-effective snooze, you can’t beat a Premier Inn. The closest location to The Blogcademy is London City (Old Street), and if you book early, rooms start from just £69 a night!
Holiday Inn Express
It’s not the most glamorous hotel, but the London – City Holiday Inn Express is located just five minutes walk from The Blogcademy. Hey, let’s be honest, you’re going to be hanging out with us all weekend anyway! If you’re only in town a few days, and you’re more bothered about price than luxury, then this could be the place for you.
A perfect blend of luxury at a budget price, you really do get the added wow factor at The Hoxton. Comfortable, elegant and quirky, this hotel is just five minutes walk from The Blogcademy, right in the heart of Shoreditch. The earlier you book, the better a deal you’ll get, but they also regularly do an amazing £1 sale so be sure to subscribe and keep your eyes peeled for an utter bargain!
The Firmdale group are known for their super stylish city pads. The Charlotte Street Hotel, Covert Garden Hotel & The Soho House Hotel are our favourites and are perfect for an indulgent stay in the heart of London.
This newly refurbished art deco classic has hosted Sir Winston Churchill, Frank Sinatra, Monet and Katharine Hepburn over the years. Fancy! An iconic hotel brilliantly reinvented for the 21st century, The Savoy is perfectly positioned on the banks of the Thames and right in the heart of the West End.
We don’t like to play favourites, but it’s really hard not to when it comes to AirBNB! This website gives you the opportunity to book a room (or an entire flat or house) anywhere in the city! It’s cost-effective and packed with tons of personality. We love it!
Getting to Blogcademy is simple. You can hail a black cab (super easy, just head to a taxi rank — they’re usually located at stations or outside hotels — or if you see one with his light on, just stick your arm out!) or take the Underground.
The London Underground is quick, cheap and simple. The closest tube stops are Old Street and Liverpool Street, and the nearest Overground Station is Shoreditch High Street. All are less than a 10 minute walk to Curtain Road Studios where The Blogcademy is located.
We’ll see you there!
